"Cerebrospinal Fluid is like the water flowing over the dirty dishes (brain) in the sink. When food gets clogged in the drain, the first approach is to turn off the flow of water and reroute the buildup. This is the current approach for dealing with diseases of increased CSF pressure and buildup of toxic brain proteins - reduce production of CSF (water) and remove the excess (shunting). The better approach is to unclog the drain. That is what we are doing in our research "
